Eryn Dorsey, LMSW
All my life I was taught that helping others and giving to your community was something one should do to feel whole. My parents both had jobs helping to make a difference in people’s lives and growing up military helped me to meet people from all walks of life and learn how to be helpful to them. I decided to pursue my degree in Social Work because it gave me the flexibility and knowledge base to approach each situation differently.

I received both my Bachelors (2012) and Master’s (2014) Degrees in Social Work from the University of Alaska Anchorage. While there I did my internships with the American Cancer Society, The Medicare Information Office and South Central Foundation Primary Care. Currently I am working toward my Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification under the supervision of Megan Coit, LCSW-S.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients over the years from adolescents who are experiencing suicidal ideation and crisis, adults who struggle with anxiety and depression to caregivers who are grieving terminal illness and geriatric patients who are struggling with changes in their health and independence. I also have experience working inpatient, intensive outpatient, office and home settings.

My goal for every client is to walk with them on their journey and help them feel validated and heard without judgment. Sometimes a different perspective can make all the difference and sometimes it helps clients just knowing someone is with them. My promise is to be respectful, empowering and educated on issues to ensure the best results.
